INGREDIENTS
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated can crescent roll sheets
- 4 eggs
- 6 slices cooked bacon
- 2 oz sharp cheddar
- Salt and pepper
- 2 big leaves of basil / green onion
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Add the bacon slices to an unheated pan, and turn on the stovetop to medium. Let the pan warm up with the bacon inside, and cook until they are 80% cooked through, ~10 mins.
3. Open and unroll the crescents onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Split the sheet of dough in half, so you have 2 large squares of dough (8 in x 6 in). Pinch the perforations together if they have any.
4. Slice your cheddar into thin strips (4 strips per cresent square). Add them to 2 opposite edges of the dough and fold the edges inwards to encase the cheese.
5. Fold up the other edges of the dough to create a border. crack two eggs in the center of each dough square. season with salt and pepper. Place 3 slices of cooked bacon across each square.
6. Bake in the over for 12-15 minutes, until the edges of the dough are golden brown and the eggs are cooked to preference.
7. Garnish with basil / green onion and enjoy.
